Welcome to Oakville City Hall

Mayor Angelo Cilluffo called the regular Council Meeting of September 13, 2021 to order at 7:30 P.M. Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL:

Council Members Bill Breedlove, Dan Martin and Julie Zehe answered roll call. A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Martin to excuse Councilperson Fallow and Ruymann. Motion Carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilperson Martin with a second by Councilperson Zehe to accept the regular minutes of August 9, 2021. Motion carried.

PUBLIC HEARING: None

CITIZENS COMMENTS: None

MAYOR’S REPORT: None

PRESENTATIONS/COMMITTEE REPORTS: None

ATTORNEY’S REPORT:

It would be helpful to receive council packets Thursday rather then Friday.

POLICE REPORT:

Nothing to report but I am here if anyone has questions. Local officers will try to spend a little time in the area at the beginning and end of their shift to get some presents here.

WATER/STREET REPORT:

Public Works Director, Richard Armstrong updated the council on the projects and work being done around the city in the Water, Streets, Cemetery and Parks departments. Reminded council of the Blue Zones information being offered.

STAFF REPORT: None

OLD BUSINESS:

Russel Line Lot: Discussion on the amount to sell lot for. Discussion on vacating or quitclaiming or surplus this lot. Need history of title, profile, platting history and proposal to be submitted.

CORRESPONDENCE:

Lachappelle email regarding annexing his property. Moved to Workshop per RCW 35A.14 and city code.

NEW BUSINESS:

Neeley-Simmons Survey Results. Moved to Workshop. Lemay Rate Adjustment. Moved to Workshop.

ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS: None

CLERK’S REPORT:

Clerk-Treasurer, Amy Durga, submitted: Checks #20571-20588 and EFTs dated 08/23/2021, in the amount of $11,752.79.

Checks #20589-20605 and EFTs dated 09/9/2021, in the amount of $7,624.13

Payroll Checks #13008-13014 and EFTs for August 2021, in the amount of $16,349.56.

A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Martin to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills. Motion carried.

COUNCIL COMMENTS:

Councilperson Zehe expressed that we need more code enforcement. Councilperson Martin expressed Go Seahawks. Mayor Cilluffo expressed that we will need another part-time helper due to Marks upcoming retirement.

No further business. A Motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Martin to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 PM. Motion Carried.
