Welcome to Oakville City Hall

Mayor Keith Francis called the regular Council Meeting of September 10, 2018 to order at 7:30 P.M.  Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL:

Council Members Julie Zehe, Traci Fallow, and Anthony Smith answered roll call. A Motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Fallow to excuse Councilperson Werth and Councilperson Ruymann. Motion Carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilperson Fallow with a second by Councilperson Zehe to accept the regular minutes of August 13, 2018.  Motion carried.

PUBLIC HEARING: None

CITIZENS COMMENTS:

Joshua Rancour- Would like to see a dog park on Eagle St. property.

MAYOR’S REPORT: Mayor Francis wanted to let council know he has made an offer on a house and possibly moving to Aberdeen.

PRESENTATIONS/COMMITTEE REPORTS: None

ATTORNEY’S REPORT:

Attorney Dan Glenn submitted a written report to the city council with his legal opinions on the current issues of the city and tonight’s agenda

POLICE REPORT:  Officer Parris passed out incident analysis for August 2018

WATER/STREET REPORT:

Public Works Director, Richard Armstrong submitted a written report on the projects and work being done around the city in the Water, Streets, Cemetery and Parks departments. Richard Armstrong stated that he now has his water operator license.

STAFF REPORT:

CLERK’S REPORT: 

Clerk-Treasurer, Amy Durga, submitted:  Checks #19393-19408 dated 08/30/2018, in the amount of $10,623.30.  Checks #19409-19421 dated 09/06/2018, in the amount of $11,717.09. 

Payroll Checks #12763-12769 and EFT claims dated August 2018 in the amount of $17,313.25. 

Motion was made by Councilperson Zehe and seconded by Councilperson Smith to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills.  Motion carried.

COUNCIL COMMENTS:

A Motion was made by Councilperson Fallow with a second by Councilperson Smith to Adjourn the meeting at 8:15 PM. Motion Carried.
