Mayor Angelo Cilluffo called the regular Council Meeting of March 9, 2020 to order at 7:30 P.M. Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.


ROLL CALL:

Council Members Tom Sims, Traci Fallow, Dan Martin, Julie Zehe, and John Ruymann answered roll call. Full Quorum.


APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second by Councilperson Fallow to accept the regular minutes of February 10, 2020. Motion carried.


PUBLIC HEARING: None


CITIZENS COMMENTS:

Nick Lamb- still would like the Holy Lamb employees to parallel park on Newton St. so that they are not in the road. The railroad crossing at Newton St. is in terrible condition. Wants to add that all the gravel roads look great!

POLICE REPORT: None


WATER/STREET REPORT:

Public Works Director, Richard Armstrong submitted a written report on the projects and work being done around the city in the Water, Streets, Cemetery and Parks departments. Fire department will get involved with fireworks communications for the city. Discussion about property on blockhouse turned into water retention program for the city.

OLD BUSINESS:

Cemetery Rules- Discussion about cemetery which included the clearance for the backhoe, whether to limit borders and item in the new cemetery and mentions that the director will make the rules for council approval

NEW BUSINESS:

Updated Comcast Franchise Agreement- Discussion


ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS:

ORD: #627- 10 Year Comcast Franchise: A Motion was made by Councilperson Ruymann with a second from Councilperson Fallow to accept the ordinance as written. Motion Carried.


EXECUTIVE SESSIONS: None


CLERK’S REPORT:

Clerk-Treasurer, Amy Durga, submitted: Checks #19990-20006 dated 02/25/2020, in the amount of $20,993.15. Checks #20007-20020 dated 03/05/2020, in the amount of $13,026.49.

Payroll Checks #12884-12890 and EFT claims dated February 2020 in the amount of $17,747.89.

A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Martin to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills. Motion carried.


COUNCIL COMMENTS:

John Ruymann- asked about city prep for coronavirus. Also mentioned that Gray Goat keeps getting the liquor board called on them.


A Motion was made by Councilperson Fallow with a second by Councilperson Zehe to adjourn the meeting at 8:23 PM. Motion Carried.
