Mayor Angelo Cilluffo called the regular Council Meeting of June 8, 2020 to order at 7:30 P.M. Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL:

Council Members Tom Sims, Traci Fallow, Dan Martin, Julie Zehe answered roll call. A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Fallow to excuse John Ruymann. Motion Carried

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilperson Sims with a second by Councilperson Marin to accept the regular minutes of March 09, 2020. Motion carried.

CITIZENS COMMENTS: None

MAYOR’S REPORT:

Mayor is happy to see everyone healthy!

ATTORNEY’S REPORT: None

POLICE REPORT:

Submitted a written report to the council

WATER/STREET REPORT:

Public Works Director, Richard Armstrong submitted a written report on the projects and work being done around the city in the Water, Streets, Cemetery and Parks departments.

STAFF REPORT:

Clerk/Treasurer, Amy Durga submitted a written report to update the council of goings on during city closures related to Covid19.

OLD BUSINESS:

Cemetery Discussion: Small Discussion. Topic moved to next meeting.

Fireworks Letter: Letter to be mailed out to citizens

NEW BUSINESS:

New City Map: Needs 1 change to be approved

DRS Audit Report: A Motion was made by Councilperson Fallow with a second from Councilperson Zehe to submit the correction report and payment for the DRS Audit. Motion Carried.

CLERK’S REPORT:

Clerk-Treasurer, Amy Durga, submitted: Checks #20021-20041 dated 03/23/2019, in the amount of $12,940.18. Checks #20042-20073 dated 04/2020, in the amount of $23,676.01. Checks #20074-20099 dated 05/2020, in the amount of $15,943.74. Checks #20100-20113 dated 06/05/2020, in the amount of $10,858.57. Payroll Checks #12891-12911 and EFT claims dated March–May 2020 in the amount of $53,712.10. Motion was made by Councilperson Fallow and seconded by Councilperson Sims to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills. Motion carried.

J. Sharp- talked about the reasons to be proud to live in Oakville

T. Groninger- explained the June 7th events at the community center and showed support for Julie Zehe

J. Spitzer- Also talked about the June 7th events and showed support for Julie Zehe

Others- showed support for Julie Zehe and the graduation party that was held at the community center on June 7, 2020

ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS:

RES #423 Six Year Street Plan- A motion was made by Councilperson Ruymann with a second from Councilperson Fallow to adopt the six-year street plan. Motion Carried.

CLERK’S REPORT:

Checks #20114-20127 dated 06/17/2020, in the amount of $12,630.39. A Motion was made by Councilperson Fallow with a second from Councilperson Martin to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills. Motion carried.

COUNCIL COMMENTS:

John Ruymann- Julie felt like she did what she needed to do and hopefully we can all let it go

Dan Martin- Agrees with John

Traci Fallow- Thankful for all the good things going on in the city.

A Motion was made by Councilperson Traci with a second by Councilperson Sims to Adjourn the meeting at 8:43 PM. Motion Carried.
