Mayor Keith Francis called the regular Council Meeting of January 08, 2018 to order at 7:30 P.M.  Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL:

Council Members Julie Zehe, Traci Fallow, Anthony Smith, Allen Werth, and John Ruymann answered roll call. Full Quorum.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilperson Smith with a second by Councilperson Werth to accept the regular minutes of December 11, 2017.  Motion carried.

PUBLIC HEARING: None

CITIZENS COMMENTS:

P. Colvin- shared the need for a neighborhood watch

D. Johnny- safe street campaign

MAYOR’S REPORT:

Neighborhood watch- Laid out some rules wants to move subject to workshop.

Fireworks Signs- Mayor Francis proposed that the signs be places on each end of the town.

PRESENTATIONS/COMMITTEE REPORTS: None

ATTORNEY’S REPORT:

Attorney Dan Glenn submitted a written report to the city council with his legal opinions on the current issues of the city and tonight’s agenda.

POLICE REPORT: 

Written and Verbal account given to council- 43 Calls made in month of December.

WATER/STREET REPORT:

Public Works Director, Richard Armstrong submitted a written report on the projects and work being done around the city in the Water, Streets, Cemetery and Parks departments. 

STAFF REPORT:  None

OLD BUSINESS:  None

BIA- Trust Property Correspondence

NEW BUSINESS:

Mayor Pro-Tem Appointment- A Motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second by Councilperson Smith to nominate Councilperson Fallow as Mayor Pro-tem. Motion carried.

EXECUTIVE SESSIONS: None

CLERK’S REPORT: 

Clerk-Treasurer Amy Durga, submitted:  Checks #19140-19151 dated 12/20/2017, in the amount of $5,615.30.  Checks #19152-19169 dated 01/03/2018, in the amount of $19,018.96. 

Payroll Checks #12706-12712 and EFT claims dated December 2017 in the amount of $13,834.52. 

Motion was made by Councilperson Zehe and seconded by Councilperson Smith to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills.  Motion carried.

COUNCIL COMMENTS: None

A Motion was made by Councilperson Fallow with a second by Councilperson Zehe to Adjourn the meeting at 8:00 PM. Motion Carried.
