Mayor pro tem Angelo Cilluffo called the regular Council Meeting of December 12, 2016 to order at 7:30 P.M.  Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL:

Council Members Traci Fallow, Allan Palmerson, Angelo Cilluffo, and Julie Zehe answered roll call.  A motion was made by Councilperson Palmerson with a second by Councilperson Fallow to excuse Councilperson Ruymann.  Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilperson Palmerson with a second by Councilperson Zehe to accept the regular minutes of November 14, 2016.  Motion carried.

PUBLIC HEARING:

2017 Final Budget Hearing opened at 7:31 closed at 7:32

CITIZENS COMMENTS:

 S. Buhler would like to let us know she is in favor of the sign

PRESENTATIONS/COMMITTEE REPORTS:

French Wetmore FEMA presentation moved to workshop

ATTORNEY’S REPORT:

Attorney Dan Glenn submitted a written report to the city council with his legal opinions on the current issues of the city and tonight’s agenda.

POLICE REPORT: 

Sgt. Lewis gave a brief oral report. New patrols will start in January.

WATER/STREET REPORT:

Public Works Director, Richard Armstrong submitted a written report on the projects and work being done around the city in the Water, Streets, Cemetery and Parks departments.

STAFF REPORT:  

Secretery/Treasurer Amy Durga Briefly explained the 2017 Budget and the levy

OLD BUSINESS:

None

CORRESPONDENCE:

Hearing examiner Recommendation for the CUP for Fire Dept. Sign. Sign was approved.

NEW BUSINESS: Judge Imler has submitted his letter of resignation, there are also already two Municipal Court Judges interested in his position

ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS:

RES# 407- to honor George Crumb and his service to the city of McCleary. Motion was made by Councilperson Fallow with a second by Councilperson Zehe to approve RES# 407. Motion Carried RES# 408- to honor Dan Thompson and his service to the city. Motion was made by Councilperson Fallow with a second by Councilperson Zehe. To approve RES# 408. Motion Carried.

ORD. #615 – 2017 budget. A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second by Councilperson Fallow to accept ORD. #615. Motion Carried.

ORD. #616- Flood hazard protection Program from FEMA to be discussed at workshop

CLERK’S REPORT: 

Clerk-Treasurer Amy Durga, submitted:  Checks #18694-18709 dated 11-23-16, in the amount of $35,431.17.  Checks #18710-18728 dated 12-07-16, in the amount of $14,044.82. 

Payroll Checks #12620-12626 and EFT claims dated 11/2016 in the amount of $11,167.35. 

Motion was made by Councilperson Zehe and seconded by Councilperson Palmerson to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills.  Motion carried.

COUNCIL COMMENTS:

Councilperson Zehe and Councilperson Fallow would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas. Councilperson Palmerson thanked French Wetmore for explaining FEMA packet
