Mayor Angelo Cilluffo called the regular Council Meeting of August 09, 2021 to order at 7:30 P.M. Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL:

Council Members Bill Breedlove, Dan Martin, Julie Zehe and John Ruymann answered roll call. A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Ruymann to excuse Councilperson Fallow. Motion Carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilperson Ruymann with a second by Councilperson Breedlove to accept the regular minutes of July 12, 2021. Motion carried.

POLICE REPORT: None

WATER/STREET REPORT:

Public Works Director, Richard Armstrong updated the council on the projects and work being done around the city in the Water, Streets, Cemetery and Parks departments.

STAFF REPORT: None

OLD BUSINESS:

TIB Grant-School Street Project. Motion was made by Councilperson Zehe and a second by Councilperson Breedlove to move forward with bigger project.

Ash Street, Chehalis Tribe MOU: Motion was made by Council person Ruymann and a second by Councilperson Martin to accept. Motion carried.

Russel Line Lot: Discussion to move to Workshop.

EXECUTIVE SESSIONS: The council went into Executive Session based on RCW 42.30.110 to discuss the sale of land from 8:15 P.M. to 8:26 P.M.

NEW BUSINESS:

Quote for City Hall Sprinkler System. Moved to next Business Meeting.

ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS:

ORD# 631 – Emergency Fireworks Ban. Motion was made by Councilperson Ruymann and a second by Councilperson Breedlove to accept ODR# 631. Motion Carried.

CLERK’S REPORT:

Clerk-Treasurer, Amy Durga, submitted: Checks #20546-20561 and EFTs dated 07/28/2021, in the amount of $14,446.40.

Checks #20562-20570 and EFTs dated 08/4/2021, in the amount of $3,302.36

Payroll Checks #13001-13007 and EFTs for July 2021, in the amount of $18,569.51.

A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Ruymann to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills. Motion carried
