Mayor Pro Tem Traci Fallow called the regular Council Meeting of April 12, 2021 to order at 7:30 P.M.


ROLL CALL:

Council Members Bill Breedlove, Julie Zehe answered roll call. A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Breedlove to excuse Councilperson Martin and Councilperson Ruymann. Motion Carried.


APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilperson Breedlove with a second by Councilperson Zehe to accept the regular minutes of March 08, 2021. Motion carried.


PUBLIC HEARING: None


CITIZENS COMMENTS: None


MAYOR’S REPORT:

Greasy Biker Event- Kevin Jones with the Greasy Bikers explained their event and the benefits it would have on the community.


PRESENTATIONS/COMMITTEE REPORTS:

SWRTPO Interlocal Agreement- Vicki Cummings gave a brief presentation on what the RTPO is and what it does. Resolution will be prepared and presented to the council during the May meeting.


ATTORNEY’S REPORT: None


POLICE REPORT: Officer Parris gave brief a brief report. Councilperson Zehe addressed the need for more police presence in town.


WATER/STREET REPORT:

Public Works Director, Richard Armstrong updated the council on the projects and work being done around the city in the Water, Streets, Cemetery and Parks departments.


STAFF REPORT: None


OLD BUSINESS:

Street Addressing Contract- A motion was made by Councilperson Zehe with a second from Councilperson Breedlove to except the contract with an understanding the work will be done 6 months from the date of signing. Motion Carried.


CORRESPONDENCE:

WTSC School Zone Safety Funding Announcement- No questions or comments given.


NEW BUSINESS:

Russell Line Lot Request- Council moved topic to workshop and an update will be given to Mr. Russell.

CLERK’S REPORT:

Clerk-Treasurer, Amy Durga, submitted: Checks #20417-20440 dated 03/25/2021, in the amount of $8,335.27. Checks #20441-20462 dated 04/08/2021, in the amount of $18,874.21. Payroll Checks #12973-12979 and EFT claims dated March 2021 in the amount of $17,058.67.

A motion was made by Councilperson Breedlove with a second from Councilperson Zehe to accept the Clerk’s Report as presented for payment of the bills. Motion carried.
